Last night when I got home from getting my hair done the sky looked quite menacing. The sky was even cooler when I first got home, but changed completely in the time it took me to get inside to get my camera. These pictures are all completely unedited, I was trying to capture the true color and cloud formations.

Pelican on the Pond
Now this guy was in the giraffe exhibit. We learned from the previous dragonfly debacle that I’m no animal expert, but I’m pretty sure this is not a giraffe.

The highlight of the trip for me was watching a peacock try to lure in one of 2 pea-hens that were nearby. He didn’t seem to care which one, must have been closing time at the peacock bar. We watched for about 15 minutes and then it just got to be sad to see him continually shut down. He must be the Peacock equivalent of the Night at the Roxbury guys.
