Random Ramblings May 15, 2008
I haven’t done any blogging this week because I need to buy a new external hard drive for this computer. Taking so many pictures has eaten away at my memory quickly. I am down to just under 2GB of free space on this drive. So, no new pictures means no new blogging.
Mother’s Day weekend was wonderful. My parents came into town and we stayed busy, busy, busy. My brother, Tony and I went in together and got my mom a new bike for Mother’s Day. On Saturday morning we went for a bike ride and a hike. It was a great way to start the morning. After showering Riley, my mom and I went to downtown Chicago for shopping and dinner at the American Girl Store. Riley was in heaven, the grownups were overwhelmed. Dinner was was very tasty, much better than you would expect from a restaurant inside a doll store. They have special chairs and dinnerware for the dolls and Riley stayed busy tending to all of Elizabeth’s mealtime needs. While at the store Elizabeth was able to get her hair done at the doll salon. Are you starting to see how over the top this whole experience can be? Riley loved it and it was fun to watch her enjoy it all.
